I
traded a '63 Fender Jaguar for this Strat / Tele / Gibson Hybrid in 1968 that a
friend of mine built in Atlanta, Georgia.
It had a 1953 Telecaster body, 1958 Stratocaster neck and set up like a
Gibson with 50's PAF Humbucker Pickups and pots and the Gibson Varitone
Switch which gave it 3 (Selector Switch) times (X) 6 different
tone variations or 18 sounds.
(I used this guitar in Los Angeles in Session Work because of the
variety of tones)
In recent years I decided to make two guitars from this beast
I took the '58 Strat neck and 50's PAF Humbucker Pickups and built this
beautiful Sunburst Strat with gold hardware.
I split coiled the PAF's to get both Strat 5-way switching and
Gibson Humbucker sounds at the flip of a mini switch.
Then from the '53 Telecaster body and all new Tele parts, I built this 3
Pickup Nashville Style Telecaster with gold hardware.
